Program Details
The Cura Personalis in Peru Program is especially designed to integrate the Jesuit mission by engaging students in Peruvian culture and language through family stays, visits to health clinics and hospitals, community engagement in schools, clinics and adolescent enrichment programs. Students will participate in self-reflection and self-care as they develop empathy for and understanding of perspectives of both Peruvian and Andean culture. Traditional healing practices, Andean rituals and folktales will also be integrated. A field study of the Sacred Valley, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu is included in this program.
